There are two ways to get the licence key for a new PilotAware Rosetta, depending on where you bought it.
Bought from PilotAware
- When your Rosetta is dispatched, you'll receive a confirmation email. It contains a link saying "By clicking here you accept the licence terms below and will be sent your key".
- Click the link. Your 16-digit licence key will be emailed to the address registered with PilotAware. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.
- Keep the key safe: you'll need it to activate Rosetta.
Bought elsewhere or second-hand
- Go to the PilotAware licensing site.
- Tick the box to accept the terms and conditions.
- Fill in your details, including your Rosetta's MAC address (see below).
- Click Submit. If everything is correct, your licence key will be emailed to the address you entered.
Finding your MAC address
The MAC address is printed on the Rosetta box and under the barcode on the unit's end cap. It also forms part of the Rosetta Wi-Fi network name that appears on your phone or tablet once the unit has started up.
A PilotAware MAC address looks like B827EB123ABC. If yours doesn't start with B827EB, it isn't the right address.
