atom uplink

When in coverage, ATOM can rebroadcast locally-received FLARM, FANET+ and Mode-S/3D traffic to your FX with very low latency.

skygrid

High-flying PilotAware devices relay low-level signals that might otherwise be shielded by terrain, extending your awareness.

igrid cellular

Connect FX to a mobile hotspot and add up to 60 km of additional high-integrity traffic and weather, even beyond ATOM range.

Serial data integration via RS232

Already have FLARM or a compatible transponder in your aircraft? FX integrates over RS232 to supercharge what you can see and how you broadcast.

FX (as FLARM eXtender) can feed additional traffic to FLARM-equipped gliders up to 60 km away via iGRID.
Compatible with selected transponders and glass cockpit displays to show all detected traffic.
RS232 output can be used as a GPS source to convert Mode-S transponders with ES to full-power ADS-B Out (DF17).
Integrated GPS with SIL=0 for compliant extended squitter where supported.

FX uses the PilotAware network and iGRID connection to deliver tools well beyond traffic: live METARs, weather RADAR and automatic software updates.

LIVE METARS UPLINKED

METARs from supported airports are uplinked to FX via ATOM/iGRID and displayed on the dedicated METARs webpage for pre-flight and in-flight reference.

WEATHER ON THE RADAR

Weather imagery updated every 10 minutes and available on the PilotAware RADAR page when connected to iGRID, adding strategic weather awareness to your situational picture.

ROUTER IN THE COCKPIT

When connected to your mobile hotspot, FX can act as a router – keeping EFBs and clients online without each device needing its own mobile connection.

AUTOMATIC SOFTWARE UPDATES

New firmware is downloaded over-the-air and installed before your next flight, with no SD card swaps or USB cables to juggle.
